Stargoose Solar Energy Farm Proposal

This is a proposal, at pre-planning application stage, for a solar energy farm at Childerley generating 60GWh of electricity per year.

This is a link to the proposer's website for the project https://www.solarcentury.com/stargoose/

A presentation was given by the company to the Dry Drayton Parish Council on Tuesday 2 February 2021. The presenter assured the Council that all traffic for the site would go from the A428 to Childerley. Leaflets have been widely distributed in the village seeking comments. Comment will also be possible when and if a planning application is submitted.

The following links have been provided by Cllr Lynda Harford.

This is the link to the EIA Screening opinion for the current proposal:

This is interesting because it gives some indication of what the statutory consultees will be looking for when the application comes in.

A previous application for a larger solar enegy farm on this site was refused by the Local Authority. This is the link to the committee report from the first planning application:

It’s agenda item 5

It’s the second document down.
