Great British Spring Clean 28 May to 13 June 2021

Dry Drayton Parish Council has registered for the Great British Spring Clean which will start on 28 May and run for two weeks. It is a great opportunity to tidy the Village and get Dry Drayton ready for the summer.

We have contacted South Cambs to provide the rubbish bags and to advise where the full bags should be left for collection and are waiting for their reply. We have several high-visibility jackets and a couple of litter pickers. It is obviously important that any activity of this type follows current Government guidelines for Covid to ensure that it is carried out in a safe manner, and risk assessments have been carried out and will be shared with any volunteers.

So that we can coordinate the areas and volunteers, if you are interested please could you let me know by sending an email of the date you can volunteer and the area you wish to clear to cllr.aldersley@drydraytonpc.org.uk.

Further information can be found by Googling “Great British Spring Clean” or checking www.keepbritaintidy.org/get-involved/support-our-campaigns/great-british-spring-clean

Many thanks for your help and I look forward to seeing you around the Village over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Stephen Aldersley
